A new name for Pictorial Meadows: Ham or Spam?

After yesterdays interesting twitter/blog debate about pictorial meadows and whether they should be called meadows or not, it got me thinking about alternative names.

As Anne Wareham pointed out, pictorial meadows are a mix of hardy annuals – so I wondered whether Hardy Annual Mix or HAM would be a good name for them. This alludes to the Saxon word hamm which means  meadow.

The alternative I thought of is Pictorial Annual Mix PAM or Special Pictorial Annual Mix SPAM.

Which do you prefer?

The debate was and is valid, spam and or ham were not on the menu.

  2. Quite brilliant. HAM for pastel HAs and SPAM for the spiced up version with Eschscholzias etc. Great marketing potential 🙂
